Re: "Just wait until NYC is under water. I won't see it but bet it happens." Didn't you find that humorous? An invitation to wait for an event which is so far in the future that we won't be here, yet with a strong enough probability that it warrants a BET; one which cannot be won/lost cause we won't be here. I think that's funny or mebbe it's just late.

Yes there has been a raise in our electric rates in the last 8 years, but they were so small my monthly bill didn't change significantly.

by drpepperTX  Yesterday

So your original statement on the thread is admittedly false. Will we see a retraction?

by evowner  Yesterday

I see the rate increase published, but when I look at my electric bill and the cost per kilowatt, it has changed little. It looks like it when up over time, but not significantly.

I'm not confused, I'm an investor in Portland General Electric, that's why I know they increased their rates. And the 4.6% rate increase they are asking for next year is noted below, for a natural gas plant. So once again, it begs the question, how did you not get a rate increase?? Or did you just miss that?

by evowner  Yesterday

My electric company's name is Portland General Electric not to be confused with California's PG&E. We are getting a rate increase next year of 4.6%, almost entirely to finance building two new wind generation farms.

by drpepperTX  Yesterday

That's strange? How are you getting away without a rate increase when PG&E increased the rate 7.4 percent for residential customers just last year? PG&E also anticipates filing for another rate increase next year as it brings another new natural gas plant on line next to its Boardman coal plant.

by evowner  Yesterday

We use PGE as our electrical supplier. They helped install our two solar panel installations. Our rates haven't changed although we produce almost all our power needs .

Regardless of what you say, my article points out they are trying to force people out and would have had it not been for the justice system intervening.

Just bc right wing propaganda makers say Josh Fox's movie Gasland was a fraud, doesn't make it a FACT.
